Project White Star 7th SF Group on felt.

"The original members of the teams launched were from 77th SFG and the project was called Operation Hotfoot. In late 1959 or early 1960 the name was changed to Operation Whitestar. When the original teams returned to Fort Bragg in Feb 1960, the 77th SFG had been re-designated as the 7th SFG and the Red Flash created.  All US SF personnel KIA in Laos between 1959 and 1962 were 7th SFG personnel."
